A friend of mine ordered this custom black walnut urn for their old doggie friend Rusty. Pieces like this are timeless and do more than just provide a physical purpose to us and that makes them so fulfilling to create. Our loved ones may have passed and now live only in our memory, but they are able to physically manifest through pieces like this and that makes them special. Definitely looking forward to making more awesome pieces like this. I’m humbled to have provided someones loved one with a resting place that can be cherished forever. PS. Love building tables in this style! How do you guys feel about the live edge and steel leg combo?

The walnut that I used for this piece has the most incredible grain and color. That combined with the satin black epoxy makes me almost wanna keep this one for myself 😏
